About Tammy

I'm Tammy Prince, founder of Recipe For Wellness (started 2015). I'm a Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner, Oncology Nutrition Consultant, and Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I spent 250+ hours training in oncology nutrition to support people through cancer. I also hold a degree in Child Studies and a post‑graduate certificate in Therapeutic Recreation.

My goal is to help others feel better and make daily life easier and more enjoyable. I'm a lifelong learner who loves family, nature, and the outdoors (usually with my dogs). I try to eat and live well, though I'm not perfect — I make choices most days that support health and longevity. I spend lots of time in the kitchen, read labels when I shop, and focus on nutrient‑dense meals. Sharing my love of healthy eating is what I do.

Holistic Nutrition is about teaching individuals about specific foods/eating plans that will enable that person to make proper food choices that are right for their specific needs. Following a nutrition plan made just for you can allow you to increase your state of overall wellness and well-being. Holistic Nutrition will determine if there are system imbalances that can be corrected/improved through proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. A Holistic Nutritionist will focus on the individual as a whole, so recommendations will be based on diet, supplements only if necessary, as well as lifestyle changes.
